Singita Sweni lodge was wholly inspired by the immense African sky, and takes inspiration from the earth. Sweni Lodge is situated on the edge of the Sweni River, providing a forested haven far from the noise of the world.
Singita Sweni is located in the Kruger National Park and is the little sister of the bigger Singita Lebombo ! Bathed in quiet intimacy at the shaded edge of the Sweni River, the six suites enjoy an opulently appointed lounge, a dining area and pool, with a classic safari feel through the use of African artefacts, leather and khaki. Singita Sweni Lodge continues in the Singita tradition of creating a lifelong experience out of a journey to Africa. From the food and fine wines to game drives and the simple silence that the wilderness imparts, the voyage promises to eternally transform one’s spirit.
Expressing a distinctly African style, Sweni is a combination of dark wood, infused by the colours of the earth… including deep greens and multi-shades of avocado. This lodge boasts six luxurious suites that offer the ultimate luxury in a wild setting that offers time for reflection in the shade of its many trees. The essence of Sweni is elaborate simplicity, dictated to by the Singita philosophy of ‘touching the earth lightly’ – therefore every effort is made to preserve and celebrate this beautiful environment.
All suites have their own ensuite bathroom, outside shower, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air conditioning , overhead fans, direct dial telephone and game viewing deck. Big five game drives are enjoyed in the Kruger National Park, rangers say it’s the largest concentration of animals they’ve ever seen. There are many diverse habitats to enjoy. Guests can enjoy early morning game drives in open Land Rovers and guided bush walks. We highly recommend combining a stay at Singita Sweni or Singita Lebombo with a few nights at Singita Boulders or Singita Ebony in the Sabi Sands.
Between game drives many people opt to nurture body, mind and spirit in the spectacular gym and health spa where massive glass walls perpetuate a sense of oneness with the serene surroundings.
