Maliba Mountain Lodge

Maliba Mountain Lodge is located in the tiny mountain kingdom of Lesotho which itself is totally surrounded by South Africa. Roughly the size of Belgium or the US state of Maryland, the prominent Maluti mountain range that runs through the country at about 1,000m above sea level gives Lesotho its other name - the "Kingdom in the Sky".

At Maliba Mountain Lodge visitors to Lesotho can enjoy spectacular scenery seen at its best from the back of a Basotho pony as it takes you through the mountains. Later rest up in one of our first class luxury lodges and enjoy the pampering only our staff can provide or take your meal on the balcony and see the mountains arrayed before you. Our luxury lodges offer guests the opportunity of a real African mountain experience with five star hospitality.

Maliba Mountain Lodge offers accommodation to suit a range of tastes and budgets, from our exclusive and private 5 star mountain chalets to our self contained river lodges which hold larger groups up to 8 in each. The Lesotho Maliba Mountain Lodge can experience snow in winter while in summer it offers a cooler mountain lodge retreat from the heat of the plains. The main lodge features a Gourmet restaurant, bar and plenty of quite discrete areas to relax and views of mountains brushed with snow.

CUISINE

3 meals per day will be included in the tariff. It will be freshly prepared by trained staff from fresh ingredients. It will be of the highest quality, presentation and taste. Meals will be one of the many highlights during your stay at Maliba.

A full bar service with an extensive wines will be available. In room service, coffee bar and light snacks on demand will ensure your stay is a pleasurable experience.

Climate

Tsehlanyane National Park (TNP) is located at the interface between the Eastern Mountain province of Lesotho and the lowlands, which are surrounded by the relatively dry interior of South Africa. In relation to much of the subcontinent, TNP enjoys abundant freshwater resources.
